SKID

A skid is a pallet that has only stringers and top boards. No bottom boards.

A two way pallet has solid stringers.  There is only fork access from the ends.

Grades of recycled pallets

    A Grade 6" Leads

A used pallet repaired by using new or reclaimed boards.  These pallets will have 6" wide boards on the ends of the pallet.  The interior boards may have any combination of widths. The stringers may be repaired by using steel repair plates.  They cannot be repaired with a plug (extra stringer or block nailed beside the main stringer to strength a crack or break).

    A Grade

The only difference from the above pallet is it will have any combination of boards on the pallet.

    B Grade

A used pallet that is repaired by using new or reclaimed boards.  This pallet can have any combination of boards.  The stringers may be repaired using plugs (extra stringer or block nailed beside the main stringer to strength a crack or break).

COMBO PALLET

A combo pallet is a pallet made of a combination of used and new wood. This pallet is made to customer specifications.

HT PALLET

A HT pallet is a pallet that has been heat treated to an internal temperatue of at least 133 F for 33 min. in the thickest piece of wood.  A HT pallet has a stamp on the side of stringer showing ISPM-15 compliance so the pallets can be exported to other countries.

REVERSIBLE PALLET

A reversible pallet has the same board configuration on both sides of the pallet. Either side can be used.

DOUBLE WING PALLET

On a double wing pallet the top and bottom boards hang over the side of the stringer.
